The "Protocol" page allows you to configure which NMEA messages a particular channel should use.

You can use the "Learn" button to identify and enable the messages being sent by the device. The system will automatically warn you if any of these signals are lost with a RAT.

The "Timeout" column figures indicate the intervals that the software expects between messages. This can be modified using the "Edit" button (picture of a pencil).

If the messages sent by the device include checksums, then "Require checksums" should be enabled by checking the check box.
